Welcome to my tenure counseling journey. Please join me over the next four years while navigating campus life at West Los Angeles College. Through the course of this journey, I intend to enhance my counseling skills, overcome challenges,learn,grow, and contribute to the field of counseling. Every experience in life prepares you for the next, I'm on a new journey.

My Counseling Philosophy
My counseling approach is aligned with support and inclusivity. The principles that I have adopted to engage students in a supportive and inclusive environment are Awareness, Empowerment, and Commitment. As a counselor, to meet the varying needs of students from diverse backgrounds I must be culturally sensitive and aware of potential challenges that are barriers to educational success. Awareness: critical to building the initial rapport with students and ensuring they receive proper resources; Empowerment: the tool that I impart to each student, encouraging individual power to accomplish goals and expand their potential; Commitment: inclusivity is my pledge to students and field of counseling. I am committed to making sure students feel welcome, valued, and respected no matter what background they come from.
